...after a lot of stapling, hotgluing, modpodging and spraypainting it is about time to do some sewing.
as repurposing works very well with sewing, too...i am going to start with my latest handbag made from a round placemat in a decent blue with a matching brooch and baroque handles.
this is what you need
- round placemat
- two handbag handles
- matching brooch
- paper clips
- sewing machine and thread
this is what you have to do
- fold the placemat into halves
- use paper clips to hold it in place
- topstitch along the edges and leave an opening in the middle
- place and hand stitch the handbag handles
- if available attach your own name label
- add your brooch
- enjoy your beautiful handbag
